A fashion-fabulous health conscious Monday treat!

by Naomi

Wow - what beautiful sunshine this weekend brought us Brits! Everyone was out enjoying the heat and delving back into their summer wardrobes for the first time.

The sunshine always inspires me to try and get fit (try being the operative word!) and be a bit healthier in my lifestyle, so it's quite timely that this week's Monday post is about two new collections supporting some important health campaigns.

H&M's soon-to-launch Fashion Against Aids 2011 collection will be hitting shops on April 26, and is all about the androgynous street style mixed with casual essentials.

Lots of celebs are supporting the campaign, including Keri Hilson, Selma Blair, Penn Badgley, Akon, Ginnifer Goodwin and the Scissor Sisters, and 25% of the sales are being donated to the charity Designers Against AIDS (DAA) and various other international HIV/AIDS prevention projects.

Ginnifer Goodwin (T-shirt £19.99)

Keri Hilson (Jumpsuit - £29.99)

Some of the pieces certainly aren't for the faint of fashion-heart, but that's kind of the way we like it here at Eco Goddess! The great thing about the collection is that it incorporates designs for those that want to wear their heart on their sleeve, and stylish essentials for those that just want fashion that gives to a good cause!

So you can say it loud and proud...
Vest - £6.99
Or just have a warm glow in your heart knowing you have made a difference and got a lovely item of clothing at the same time...

Trench Coat - £34.99

There are plenty of pieces for the boyshapes and girlshapes as each design has been interpreted into menswear and womenswear.

Penn Badgley (Hooded Jacket £24.99, Scarf £6.99)

The new limited edition Tommy Hilfiger bag, supporting Breast Health International, has also just been launched, with Renée Zellweger as the face of this year's campaign. Made from vegetable-tanned leather, with a soft suede finish, it is the perfect everday bag, and €100 from each sale will be donated to the Fund for Living, supporting those affected by breast cancer.

Plenty of food for thought! -x-

Beat the chill!

by Naomi

I have been keeping my eyes peeled for this spring/summer's eco-fashion must-haves. But there's just one problem...it's so cold I am finding it difficult to even contemplate wearing anything other than knitwear, fur (faux bien sur) and more knitwear!

So until the sun decides to make an appearance I am going to continue wrapping up! I am loving this Alpaca Reversible Hat by Emilime at $55 (around £34).

Doesn't it just look ssoooooooooooo cosy?!

Alpaca wool offers great insulation with breathability, and is known for its durability as well as being a renewable material. Furthermore, all Emilime pieces are handcrafted by artisans in Peru - thumbs up all round! And if your thumbs are cold take care of them with some alpaca gloves! These funky wrist warmers are $50.
Emilime products can be found on Holstee - a fab American initiative that designs and curates some of the best in urban eco style from across the globe, and Emilime's website direct.

by Naomi

Ever feel like no-one is listening to you? New brand A Lot To Say is here to help! It has created a cute range of slogan t-shirts, vest tops, bikinis and umbrellas so that you can make a statement, wherever you are!

The slogans are either environment or wellbeing focused, and different collections mean that you can choose whether you want to be cheeky, edgy, inspirational, or positive. They are available as a short sleeve tee ($35.99) or a vest top ($32.99).

Inspirational slogans include 'Change' and 'Love'...

Whilst tongue-in-cheek designs are a little more in your face!...

The vest tops are perfect for the gym and the brand also offers a yoga-themed collection...

The tees are made completely from recycled PET bottles and use a revolutionary printing process that is non-water and non-toxic - ace!

By Lorna

"Regenerate Clothing was established with the mission to make the world a little happier and a lot better dressed by ethically invigorating its wearers."

Regenerate specializes in hand printed, designer, ethically made organic clothing and have already become a closely followed brand, with a large online fan base. The clothing is being stocked across Europe, online and with a large celebrity fan base with the likes of 'The Teenagers', 'African boy', 'Shychild'(Klaxons DJ), ‘Light Speed Champion’, 'Ighlu and Hartley', ‘Kap Bambino’ and ‘The Holloways’ all wearing Regenerate products.

Regenerate clothing was founded and launched in Feb 2008 by May Cortazzi, who had previously worked for Marharishi, Boxfresh and Maria Chen before deciding to step out on her own and create her own unique label. May says that 'the Regenerate look always remains unique from the mainstream by taking inspirations from: the music industry, historical archives and through traveling the world and undressing it!'

In the wake of the new collection launch '1001 nights' I asked May Cortazzi, the creative director,a few questions, to find out what is was all about!

Lorna: May I’m loving the new collection, where do you find your inspiration?

May: Our latest collection, 1001 nights is all inspired by journeys, road trips and adventure. The Smashing Pumpkins music video 1979, Punk Dandies and their hippy punk girlfriends, breaking the rules, travelling by VW through a bustling, busy, urban city, filled with excitement, Rushing through the outskirts, finding that special place where the world stops, getting back to nature, through poetry, art, and music.

Lorna: For those eco goddesses that are new to Re-generate, how would you describe the style?

May: Unique, hand illustrated, artwork, incorporating
Art Nouveau styled illustrations with Regenerates irregular dark and edgy handwriting, using our signature Metallic Gold, Bronze and Monotone coloured prints with flashes of electric Neon.

Lorna: The new collection has just launched... What are the best sellers so far?

May: The Key statement prints ‘Music is my Religion’ and ‘Love is my Religion, have both gone down really well. The label started as purely Menswear but the Womenswear has built up a real following now which is great!

All Regenerate clothing is made from ethical fabrics include Tencel, Organic Cotton, and Organic Bamboo. These clothes are all ultra soft, light weight, distressed, burnt out and ethically made; in fact pretty much perfect for any aspiring eco goddess!’
